Alyssa Warcup Violinist from Washington, DC

Alyssa Warcup is a professional violist based in the Washington, D.C. area, splitting her time between orchestral stages, chamber music concerts, and intimate private events. She performs regularly with the National Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and Candlelight Concerts. In 2025, she was the featured artist in an episode of PBS WHYY's *On Stage at Curtis*. Alyssa made her solo debut performing the Schnittke Viola Concerto with the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra, and has since picked up first-prize wins at competitions across the country. Her musical life has taken her well beyond the U.S., from the Philharmonie Berlin to Madrid's Fundación Juan March alongside Curtis on Tour, plus festival appearances from London to Taipei. Off the concert stage, Alyssa loves bringing music to people who might not otherwise get to hear live performances. She's a regular at hospitals, nursing homes, libraries, and museums, and has performed with Music for Food, a musician-led effort to fight hunger in local communities.
