I planned a birthday party for my husband which was a great success, thanks to Ian Underwood. He was very responsive and accommodating based on my requests. He was a very accomplished bagpiper and pleasant and personable with me and the guests. I would highly recommend Ian and will plan to have him back again in the future.

I’ll admit I never liked bagpipe music until I heard Ian play. We wanted to hire a bagpiper because my father and the grooms mother absolutely LOVE bagpipe music. After listening to more than 15 different youtube demos we found Ian and there was no comparison. We had no idea how MANY people would be thrilled by his performance or how thrilled WE would be by it. He was also absolutely lovely and quite personable to the many people who wanted to talk to him after he played including at least one spontaneous hug from the groom’s mother.

Ian did a wonderful job playing at my mother's funeral. He was punctual, performed exactly what was requested of him and played beautifully. When asked to add an additional tune, he did so without hesitation. He looked very dignified in his outfit and impressed everyone with his respectful attitude. I highly recommend him.

Ian was absolutely FANTASTIC--I would recommend him him 110% to anyone looking for a friendly and professional piper. He piped at our Burns Supper and was completely unfazed by 30+ guests staring in marvel as he played in our crowded living room. I had been worried about it being too loud to play inside and so he was perfectly prepared to play out on the deck, even though it was cold--in the end he played inside and everyone's eardrums survived just fine. It was a magical addition to our night, and his mastery and cleverness with the pipes was lovely to watch. Thank you Ian!!
