Dale was very reasonable as far as cost. He was prompt and a hard and conscientious worker, taking no breaks for the 4 hour party. Our one comment is that he wasn't able to capture accurate likenesses of his subjects but they were nice drawings.' Most importantly, the kids really enjoyed him and his work.

While I do not have photos of the guests to prove how accurate my drawings are, I doubt Sara saw all the drawings since she did not opt to buy a disc upon which I could have saved them all. Therefore, I think her criticism is unfair. Dale worked very hard at the birthday party we had for our triplets. The kids were surrounded by him all night anxious for a drawing and he never stopped until the party was over!

Re-read his bio and he never actually states that he is quick with the digital pencil so it would seem that for very large groups ( My groups were mostly of 3-4 people and 3 larger groups of at least 6-7 people) ANY caricaturist has limitations. When I questioned his capability to have faster turn around times, he stated to me that he is an artist and I took that as he needs time to create. I'm from NJ and we do everything fast so I did have an expectation of quicker turn around for each drawing but the final product was pleasant and he was on time. Having capability for printing multiple copies of the drawing was nice, too.

This client told me she never hired a caricaturist before. After the party was over I had the distinct impression she thought it would be possible to draw groups of seven people in about 5 or 10 minutes. That is not remotely realistic. She never consulted with me about how to run the sign up sheet she created. Look at the rest of my reviews on this profile and take note of the fact that I am ranked number one far ahead of anyone else on this site. Keeping that in mind you can judge for yourself the usefulness of this review. I have not achieved my ranking or made my living doing this for 35 years by way of disappointing my clients.

The caricatures looked nothing like the children I had the impression the digital drawings would be faster, but from my experience in both now the hand drawings with "pastels" is far quicker. Not happy with his work at all! Nice gentleman, but caricatures were not like the children... 14 kids and 3 did not get it done bc we ran out of time. Would not use Dale again! Sorry!!!

If so unhappy why'd she tip me $34? Speed & quality impaired because she demanded my drawing special themes in spite of me saying it would cost time, nagged & rushed me on each drawing. I told her in advance black & white caricatures faster than color, but she insisted on color. All guests kept me waiting. She told me all were drawn but later told me 3 were not. She also did not provide me w/electricity that would've prevented the interruption of moving me. P.S. On a humid 87 degree day working in her back yard w/several umbrella tables, I was never provided with any shade & never offered a beverage or snack. For all her unearned wealth, this liar has zero class.

Contract $590/3 hrs,30 B/W pics,promised 3-5 min each.Took>20 min each=long lines,unhappy guests, family were never done b/c he was so slow.Embarrassing to hear complaints!Then Dale upcharges for more time@$180/hr. Paid $950 in cash for 31 images(only 18 pics-didn't know at the time but paid promptly)Emailed/called Dale for explanation for a fair review but he refuses to talk to me?Now his emails are curt/rude.Dale uses a computer to create his effects.If he doesn't like an image, he deletes/re-does it(over and over again)=wasted time!Faces were generic,unable to tell who was who.Only regret=hiring Dale.Don't fall for his scam/gimmick-there are other better artists.

Wish I could give no stars for alot of these...a pure rip off and disappointment, unfriendly and unengaging to guest promised around 10 guest a minute for color at 130 an hour did one to maybe 3 and that's a stretch per hour then asked if I approved overtime. Was offended when I questioned why 1st guest took over 50 minutes and replied kids move at a flipping kids bday party. I really want a refund Bash not cool.

No idea where you get unfriendly & unengaging. I drew 17 people in 3 hours (your math is stretched the wrong way) after warning you color drawings are a little slower than black & whites. The 1st drawing was a mom & 3 kids who did nothing like sitting still. My 1st email to you before you hired me said, "If the speed of my work matters to you, please share this with your guests: the less my "models" move while I'm drawing, the better & faster my drawings will be. I don't need lifeless statues, but it is astonishing when you see how many do not understand how excessive movement makes my job extremely difficult." Sorry you had a bad day when you wrote this.
