The biggest problem we had was that they were asked if they would play a specific song for "First Dance." They said it was not one that they play but that it would be "no problem" for them to learn it. Then, the week of the wedding, they emailed us to say that they would prefer not to do it. They hadn't learned the number yet and they said that they didn't have a large enough group to make it sound good. We ended up having my son sing it and his friend played the keyboard. It turned out great but it was stressful hearing that so close to the wedding. We were under the impression that they would play for the ceremony. They would not.

We offered to play the original version of the song as a MP3 as we thought our instrumentation didn't fit. The bride said "No problem my brother wants to sing". We did accommodate this client with several other song requests.

The party was for my mother in law's 70th and she was so happy with the band that she requested them to stay another hour. They were so accomodating and was so good that everyone had a great time. I would definitely recoomend Harrison Jazz Ensemble. It was a pleasure working with Roger. He made it so easy and was such a good communicator.

What a wonderful band! I hired this band to play at my mother's 80th birthday party, and they did not disappoint. The band leader and members were very professional, and the music (a combination of smooth jazz and top 40 classics) was absolutely perfect for the occasion. My guests are still talking about how great the party was, especially the band. I would definitely hire the HJE for future events, and I highly recommend them if you're ever in need of a great band. You'll be glad you did!

This band knows how to play jazz. Everyone at the party really liked them and they kept asking me who they were and where I found them. They accommodated my request for a specific trio of instruments and players without hesitation or complication. They arrived early and were setup to play on time. I would recommend this band.

Amazing!!! I can't count how many people said that this jazz trio made my wedding so special. I would highly reccommend Roger and his trio to anyone looking for honest people with great musical talent!

The Harrison Jazz ensemble performed satisfactorily at my reception. However, Roger Harrison was not well prepared for the event. Certain requests were not honored like my first dance and he did not even contact me prior to the event to discuss the details of my song list. I would suggest that he spend a little more time preparing for other's events.

Tracy's wedding coordinator contacted me THE NIGHT BEFORE the event with song requests. One of these was "Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top. As we're a jazz band and don't have lead guitars, I told her that we wouldn't be able to play that particular song. We try to honor special requests when possible, but need more lead time than less than 24 hrs. Despite that we did play "Isn't She Lovely" which was also a last minute request the night before the wedding.

Polished professionals. Roger Harrison is very friendly and approachable, as were his colleagues. From the start they accomodated my requests to coordinate pauses for announcements and such. It was smooth sailing. I liked the video link at the Gigmasters website for Harrison Ensemble. That's why I hired them for both our receptions. I know we will work together again.

Harrison Jazz Ensemble was great to work with up until the actual day of my wedding. My wedding started over 1/2 hour late because the group arrived late. I was stressed at the beginning of my wedding not sure if they were going to arrive at all. Once they arrived, things ran smoothly but I can not recommend any vendor who does not arrive on time.

Many people who attended complimented Mr. Harrison on a job well done. He kept the music in the event flowing nicely and as soon as HART"s new CEO remarks were complete, he carefully executed the music and picked up the ambiance in the room. We would definitely recommend.
