Derek was great, as was the booking process thru The Bash, which I had never used before. Derek was very responsive proir to the event, showed up early, was excellent both in presentation and performing bagpipe tunes. Great experienace all the way around and I would absolutely book again.

I had Derek out to Starbar downtown on St.Patty’s as well as a few other bars in the area and the results were amazing! He truly is an experienced professional with a great attitude and tremendous talent. All other bars in the area also gave raving reviews of him and how the got the crowd pumped up and excited about the festivities. We will definitely be reaching out to him again for future events!

Derek played at our Burns Night Dinner Party. He arrived early to set up before any guest arrived and did a beautiful job of playing and assortment of traditional songs. He engaged with guests as they asked him questions and very flexible about the three different locations we had him play in the house. He was fantastic!

Derek took the time to reach out to me via email, his writing was clear and polished (which I thought was a good sign of professionalism), and he had a website with samples of himself playing, which helped a lot. I wanted him to surprise my brother at the alter. It was his professionalism, his promptness and clear communication that convinced me that I could trust him to help me pull off the surprise without-a-hitch. He arrived at a hard-to-find-venue, an hour out of Austin, perfectly on time and was patient until it was time to play. He played beautifully! As a person, I found him to be generous, accommodating, and forbearing. I would highly recommend hiring him!
